About Kenya Power & Lighting Company – High Voltage Engineering Internship

Energy & Lighting Plc from Kenya. Owns and operates most of the country’s power transmission and distribution network and sells electricity by the end of June 2019 to more than 7 million customers.

The primary mandate of the Company is to prepare for sufficient power generation and transmission capacity to meet demand; build and maintain the power supply and transmission network and sell electricity to its customers.

The state has a controlling stake of 50.1% of private investors ‘ shareholding at 49.9%. The Nairobi Securities Exchange lists Kenya Energy.

  2. Should be a continuing student pursuing a Degree or Diploma from a recognized institution
  3. Should have a valid introduction letter from the learning institution

In line with the Government’s Youth Initiative to develop a pool of young talent for the Kenyan Labour Market, Kenya Power is offering recent Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma and Craft Certificate in Electrical holders an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on work experience and develop key employability skills. The internship opportunities are for a maximum period of one year with effect from January 2020.

Requirements for Kenya Power & Lighting Company – High Voltage Engineering Internship

  1. Should be available full time for the 12 months’ duration of the program.
  2. Should have graduated with a Degree or Diploma or Completed a Certificate in Electrical Engineering from a recognised institution within the last two (2) years
  3. Should be a Kenyan Citizen.
